Ever have an idea that’s so amazing you lose sleep? Well, that’s our story! Blame it on fate or being exhausted, on a serendipitous night in July of 2017 I was watching TV. Seems like a random thing to point out, but my friends and family will tell you I’m not a fan of #netflixandchill. Outside of a Gator game or televised debate, our TV is never on.
So enter my husband. He found a show he knew I wouldn’t resist, The A Word. The Amazon show follows the Hughes family whose youngest son is diagnosed with autism. I don’t know if you’ve watched an episode, but on the show Alison (the mama) has a mobile coffee shop in a trailer. So it got me thinking….
WE HAVE A TRAILER! Put it to good use. What are you waiting for? Do it now!
At the beginning of 2017, Latino Leadership was gifted with a Wells Cargo trailer. This trailer has sat in the parking lot of our autism center waiting for the perfect project. Isn’t it a beauty?
I often pray and ask for guidance. The vision couldn’t have been more clear. All of a sudden it was like the stars aligned.
Coffee + Trailer + Thrifting + Autism = Puzzled Bean Coffee Boutique
I am officially obsessed with coffee. I make it a point to find every hole-in-the-wall coffee shop in the most obscure corners of the United States and beyond.
The obsession is real folks, but I digress. How did I not think of this sooner? Through Puzzled Bean we will marry many of my favorite things…
- Coffee
- Thrifting
- Autism Services
- & Community Outreach
The mobile coffee shop will bring us to you. Whether we see you at a PTA event, Farmers’ Market or your company’s parking lot, you can support autism with a cup of joe. We are in the beginning stages of dreaming. If you want to dream with us, join the team! We are recruiting a few amazing individuals to make our dream reality.
Always remember, life without coffee is puzzling.
